R.I.P Josh Armour

Riot City Wrestling’s commentator and host of Wrestle Radio Australia Josh Armour has sadly passed away. Adelaide based RCW posted the following on their official facebook page..

“It is with a heavy heart that we here at RCW have to inform you all of the passing of longtime former ring announcer, play by play announcer and General Manager Josh Armour.

His energy and genuine enthusiasm for Riot City and wrestling as a whole was infectious and his love for these things touched everyone who crossed his path. He will be sadly missed by us and anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting him.”

Wrestlers took to facebook and twitter to express their feelings on Josh’s passing.

Josh Taylor – “The love this man had for wrestling and his friends and family was truly amazing. I was lucky enough to meet and know Josh, he was truly a one of a kind person. Always enjoyed hanging out in locker rooms with him in SA and be apart of WRA interviews with him. He will be missed greatly. My love and thoughts go to him and his loved ones. Rest easy brother.”

Sean Fewster –  “I wouldn’t have got my start in the wrestling business had Josh Armour and Todd Mitchell not reached out to me, years ago, and invited me to Riot City Wrestling. There are no words for how I’m feeling, right now, faced with the enormity of the loss of Josh. Not just because I owed him so much, but because he was a lovely, infectiously enthusiastic person who deserved nothing but happiness and good things. I can only hope he’s now found the peace he sought.”
